Time tracker, a built-in timer

It was never simpler. You can start tracking with a single click, stop and continue whenever you like. We support several ways how you can handle tracking your time spent on each project or activity.

There is several ways how you can start tracking time with a Sandtime.io web browser app.

The easiest one is to press the button Start tracking on the dashboard. The activity will start immediately as an Unassigned activity (if you want you can assign it to a selected project).

You can also add more details for tracked time

Whenever you want to collect more information, you can add some additional details to tracked activity, so you will never lose what you are working on.

Name what are you doing now

Filling field Name allows you to collect data about the activity title that you are doing now. Feel free to write there whatever you want.

Assign registered activity to a defined project

You can also select a defined Project from the drop-down list to track the time appropriately. (if you do not have any check on how to create a project in Sandtime.io).

Set the exact time when you started time tracking

In a case when you want to set the exact time when you started the activity, you should fill the field Started at. You can do it manually, or select the date and time from the picker.

Set the exact time when you did or will end time tracking

If you know exactly when you did or will end the current activity, you can fill the field Ended at manually or select the date and time from the picker. You can also leave this field empty. The proper value for this field will be filled automatically when you press Stop tracking.

Alternatively for filling Ended at field, you can fill the field Duration. For instance, if you set Started at 9:00 a.m. and you enter 8h in field Duration, the Ended at field will be automatically filled with the 5 p.m. value.

Decide if this is Billable activity

You might want to decide if the activity that you are tracking in Sandtime.io is billable or not by turning on/off the Billable switcher. Remember that some projects might have it defined if they are billable or not, so the switcher will act as it is in project settings.
