The time rounding feature

Time or timesheets rounding or occurs when you want to round up or down the time reported in Sandtime.io. It is a practice that allows employees as well as supervisors to get an insight into their work hours and modify them to easier-to-tackle numbers. It might be important to you, especially from a practical accounting point of view.

Turning time rounding in Sandtime.io

To turn on the feature, go to Settings and select Time tracking. Switch the Round time button on.

Turning this feature on/off is safe for your data persistence.

What this feature will affect when is turned ON

When you turn on the rounding feature, Sandtime.io will show rounded values for all reported times in Dashboard, Timesheets, and Reports module. Each field affected by the rounding feature will have color notification:

• for time rounded up
• for time rounded down.

Time rounding settings

Depends on the selected rounding mode, you will get different results

• Round
  • to nearest: automatically round up or down reported time depending on the time’s value.
  • up: automatically round up the reported time for you.
  • down: automatically round down the reported time for you.

In association with rounding mode, you can select a rounding interval. For doing that just select:

• 5 minutes
• 15 minutes
• Custom value [in minute(s)]
